Playground @ Kampung Gajah

Kampung Gajah is seriously freakin’ awesome!!

Even though it’s not fully developed yet but it already looked very nice and full of fun. I can’t wait to see the area fully developed. It could well pass as an offspring of Ancol (the different attractions) and Genting (the cool weather). Not yet a Disneyland or Universal Studio level but it’s still pretty high up there on my rank.

First time for Kris to take Raissa to a playground

Raissa particularly enjoyed the playground and the horse cart riding (aka delman). To get into the playground, it cost IDR 30k/child (Adult FREE) but the ground was indeed quite some fun. Besides the usual things like swings, slides, climbing tunnels, hanging bridge, trampoline, etc., it also had tracks for bicycles and mini becaks. The kids could rent the bicycles and mini becaks for FREE. Raissa really wanted to ride one of the bicycles but she was too small that she could barely reached the pedals. In a few months maybe you can try again, kiddo.

tuk tik tak tik tuk suara sepatu kuda!

Then the horsecart riding was a big hit for her. It was her first to get really close to a horse. For 40k, the horsecart driver took us for a 15-minute ride around Kampung Gajah. Of course, Raissa and myself just had to sit right next to driver and sang “Pada Hari Minggu:-)   Cheesy!

We (ok, me!) love the food stalls and just strolling on the vast clean ground. Besides that, there’s also ATV rental, horse riding (without cart), animal PVC boat/float in a pool, and so much more you just need to get there and do lotsa fun acts. Just a small note, unfortunately there’s no living elephant anywhere within the Kampung. It would be cute maybe if one day, they offer an elephant ride as well. That would be just soooo cool.

Skippin’ at Main-Main

Indoor play area at Main-Main

Last week we tried out another playground closer to our (parents’) house. Located at Bintaro, Main-Main offers indoor and outdoor playground.

The place is well kept. It’s clean with relatively new recreational equipments and games. However, after trying out Playground @Kemang Dalam and Prefere 72 Playparq at Kemang Timur, this one feels much much smaller. It is so small that everything including my baby is within my parental view and earshot. It makes me feel more relaxed while I surfed the net for free.  Free? Yes. What? Internet access. Free? YESS. Woohooo :-D

Although I think Main-Main play area is too limited and not as exciting as the playgrounds in Kemang but it redeems itself by providing free internet access to their visitors. A good idea to entertain parents like me who gets bored after awhile.

Besides the free internet kiosk, there’s also a small resto/distro attached to the other end of the playground, where moms can lounge while the kids rambling around in the other room.
