I’ll keep this posting to very few words only.
Our architect originally wanted to have kitchen fully lined with closed storing-cabinets, an edgy but expensive exhaust hood, smaller fridge, and no oven. I told him that I want an open cabinet just like Jamie Oliver’s (with so much smaller space of course), cheaper exhaust hood, definitely bigger fridge (even bigger than the current one which we already have it for 3 years), and oven? Hell yeah. Oh, at first he designed the wall to be covered with mosaics, but I requested to have it changed to stainless steel since I want a sleek modern looking kitchen. Plus, I used to like mosaics but as I’ve seen it too often almost everywhere (restaurants, houses, show units, hotels, etc), I do not want to have one in my kitchen anymore.
O ya, the idea to have open shelves instead of closed cabinets is to make the space feels less crowded. The bonus, it’s cheaper too. So friends… please welcome to my little kingdom. A domain where I exercise fully my sovereignty No one can move things around (permanently) without my consent. Hehehehe..
That’s all. Only three combo pics needed to showcase my tiny kitchen We still plan to get a short and slim dining table so we can dine “lesehan” style. Ooh, and a very thoughtful and sweet hubby of mine said this morning that we should get a bar stool so I can cook and wash dishes sitting down, to make doing the chores less tiring. *my heart melt right-o*
I’m thinking to get the retro step stool combo. A modernized classic kitchen chair and step stool from 1935 like the pic below. The steps can glide in and out plus it has a comfortable padded vinyl seat. Just don’t know where I can get it in J-town though.
